First of all, welcome back here! Second…I’m stuck.I’m looking for something to wear to FAFA ,especially a Kenyan designer but we damn well know how costly they can be, especially made-to-order designs which most of them do.This means they have to measure you and make the garment to your specifications. I wish our designers at least did ready-to-wear collections…Custom stuff takes time to make too! Time which I don’t have at the moment. Anyway, just thinking out loud, haha! 😀 …But seriously, help a sister out. I’m on the hunt for a locally designed ready-to-wear piece(s) on a budget.
I had promised to post make up looks I did with the Sleek eyeshadow palettes I wrote about in the post here. Disclaimer : I AM NOT A BEAUTY GURU…But I’m heading there :-D.
This is more of a night time look and for this I used the ‘Bad Girl’ Palette. I started by applying Sleek Concealer on my eyelids then Revlon powder to set the concealer. I then applied the green (Intoxicated) on my lids then the purple(Twilight) on my crease then blended it out.I then used the white(innocence) for my brow bone(The bone just below the eyebrows) as a highlight.
I lined my upper lids with Flormar liquid eyeliner and my lower lash line with Sleek’s Khol eyeliner pencil.
The mascara I used is Maybelline’s ”the Falsies Volum express” Mascara….which you guys,is the best damn mascara . I kid you not.
The results… I finished it off with Revlon lipstick in ‘Plumalicious’ and Voila!
This next look I did using the ‘Au Naturel’ Palette. So for this look I used the colour ‘Capuccino’ as a base colour. I applied it all over my eyelids till the brow bone, then took the colour ‘Conker’ and used it on my eyelids . After that I used ‘Regal’ on my crease as a transitional colour . It’s a colour that’s close to my skin colour so it’s perfect for blending the colour on the lids. I then took ‘Taupe’ and dabbed a bit of it at the centre of my eyelids. Finally I used the colour ‘Noughat’ to highlight my brow bone.
The final look that I finished off with Dior 106 Rouge lipstick.
For the face in both looks I used Noubamat Foundation (which you can use either dry or wet) , Sleek Concealer and Revlon face powder.
With these palettes ,the colour combinations you can come up with are so so many.
Hope you enjoyed the post.
Have an awesome weekend! 🙂
